Sarah specializes in helping individuals and organizations reconnect with their purpose and navigate points of major transition. With a diverse background including coaching, wilderness meditation, organizational transformation, sustainability, and corporate strategy and finance, Sarah brings a wealth of effective tools and knowledge to her work. Sarah has led projects at a wide variety of industry-leading clients, including eBay, Walmart, Gap, Genentech, Cisco, Roche, and Barclay's Global Investors, and coached executives in both the corporate and non-profit sectors.
Sarah has always had a particular passion for using the outdoors as a vehicle for transformation. She first experienced the power of the wilderness to create lasting insights and change during a three-month leadership semester with Outward Bound in college. Later, she attended a three-week women's kayaking trip with National Outdoor Leadership School, which inspired a cross-country move and a career change from finance to leadership development and strategy consulting. Since then she has attended and/or co-led several week-long wilderness retreats (the home page photos are from her Baja retreats) and completed a 2-year wilderness meditation facilitator training with author and meditation teacher Mark Coleman. Sarah founded Seven Streams Group in 2010 and regularly brings in partners with deep expertise in various fields to collaborate on projects.
Sarah's love for the outdoors drew her to the field of environmental sustainability consulting, where she spent eight years at Blu Skye Sustainability Consulting leading engagements to develop public sustainability goals, structure and launch execution teams, and design and facilitate multi-stakeholder alignment sessions. Her work also included convening industry leaders to find ways to increase transparency and measure sustainability impacts in global retail supply chains.
Prior to that, she was an Associate Partner at The Trium Group, where she specialized in the design and facilitation of global leadership programs and organizational transformation projects. Sarah began her career at J.P. Morgan where she was relationship manager for 40 national and global accounts in the Asset Management practice. Her financial services experience also includes equity research, real estate securities and corporate communications.
Sarah earned her BA from Dartmouth College and has studied at Oxford University and the University of Queretaro, Mexico. She is a certified Wilderness First Responder and volunteers as a kayak guide with Environmental Traveling Companions. She lives in Marin County, California with her husband, three children, dogs, cats and chickens.
